I often find myself remarking on the amount of questions Lydia asks me during any given day. She questions everything<\/em>. So this past Monday, I wrote down every question she asked throughout the day, minus all the weird little situations (mumbling, questions while driving in the car, etc.). Here’s what I came up with.<\/p>\n

“Mama, do spiders like to hide in the hole in the middle of the paper towel?”<\/p>\n

“Mama, can I play a game on Daddy’s iPad?”<\/p>\n

“Mommy, could you download — not that. How do I get out of here?! Could you download that?”<\/p>\n

“Why doesn’t this thing move?”<\/p>\n

“Well, what does it read to you?”<\/p>\n

“Can I go outside?”<\/p>\n

“What’s that? Can you read that?”<\/p>\n

“Now can I go outside?”<\/p>\n

“Can I keep these bugs?”<\/p>\n

“Is this a caterpillar?”<\/p>\n

“What does it eat?”<\/p>\n

“What are they? Are they kids’ shoes?”<\/p>\n

“So that’s what you needed to know?”<\/p>\n

“Was that fast? Like Flash?”<\/p>\n

“What are you looking at?”<\/p>\n

“What’s this?”<\/p>\n

“Can I use my chopsticks?”<\/p>\n

“What comes after orange?” Sam answers, ‘orange.’<\/em> “Orange again??”<\/p>\n

“What is next?”<\/p>\n

“What about some tea?”<\/p>\n

“What?”<\/p>\n

“I was wondering if we could go outside?”<\/p>\n

“What is that supposed to be?”<\/p>\n

“Do I have to write ‘Tom’ again?”<\/p>\n

“Did I wear this on my head when I was little? Did I wear it like this? Or this?”<\/p>\n

“Did I have that thingy when I as a baby? Or did I get it for Christmas?”<\/p>\n

“Is that an ‘oo’ word?”<\/p>\n

“Did I just put this near my eye?”<\/p>\n

“Does ‘cat’ have a capital letter?”<\/p>\n

“Is this grammar? Then science?”<\/p>\n

“But why not science?”<\/p>\n

“And what else? And then tomorrow science?”<\/p>\n

“Why not science today?”<\/p>\n

“Why don’t you like bugs?”<\/p>\n

“Why do you laugh when I say ‘crunchy’?”<\/p>\n

“And? And what? And that’s it?”<\/p>\n

“‘Cause we’re going to gymnastics later?”<\/p>\n

“Can we have a popsicle later?”<\/p>\n

“And we’ll talk about it?”<\/p>\n

“Mommy, could you do this color for that over there?”<\/p>\n

“Mommy, will you help me color?”<\/p>\n

“Does China still exist?”<\/p>\n

“Are there a lot of people there?”<\/p>\n

“What is China for ‘purple?'”<\/p>\n

“Is that a boy or a girl?”<\/p>\n

“What does this say? Is it ‘black?'”<\/p>\n

“Your mother’s gone, right?”<\/p>\n

“And do you miss her?”<\/p>\n

“Do you think of her all the time?”<\/p>\n

“Dreams are dreams? Pretty much?”<\/p>\n

“Can I have my snack outside, pleeeeeeeease?”<\/p>\n

“Like it?”<\/p>\n

“Can I wear socks with sandals?”<\/p>\n

“What is this word?”<\/p>\n

“What is this word — it starts with a p, then e, r, s, o, n, a, l?”<\/p>\n

“Why are those people climbing the rope?”<\/p>\n

“Is that Sam in the gray shirt?”<\/p>\n

“Can I go play with that boy?”<\/p>\n

“Can I build this tomorrow?”<\/p>\n

“Can I have tea tomorrow?”<\/p>\n

“Can I watch something?”<\/p>\n

“Did you say ‘wok?'”<\/p>\n

“Why did you say ‘ring?'”<\/p>\n

“No time for books tonight?”<\/p>\n

“Can I wear this?”<\/p>\n

“Can you make me fly?”<\/p>\n

“What about Watson?”<\/p>\n

“How did you get a boo boo?”<\/p>\n

“What about Kevin kissy and huggy?”<\/p>\n
