A conversation from nine days ago:<\/p>\n

Steven: “Hey, I’ve got some good news.”<\/p>\n

Me: “Cool, what’s that?”<\/p>\n

Steven: “I found out how many vacation days I’ve got left. <\/p>\n

             “[pauses for effect] <\/p>\n

             “Nine.”<\/p>\n

Me: ” *explecitive<\/em>* ”<\/p>\n

Steven: “And I need to use them up by the end of the year or lose them, so I’m off for the next two weeks.”<\/p>\n

Me: “Ohhkay. Want to go somewhere after Christmas?”<\/p>\n

So that’s how Steven and I have arrived at the conclusion that we must travel to Chicago day after tomorrow. I’ve never been there and it’s been so long since Steven has that he doesn’t remember much of it, so why not?<\/p>\n
