Santa dropped by Lydia and Sam’s school again this year. Lydia was much more receptive to the idea than last year. She was even willing to gab it up with the jolly ol’ man. This was Sam’s first meeting with Saint Nick and he was happy as a clam, not least because they matched.

sputnik; six months in orbit
Sam reached the big Six Months Old way back on December 2nd. Life has a tendency to keep on happening and I’m just now finding a bit of sweet time to sit down and reminisce. First things first; I have been meaning to proclaim to the heavens that Sam’s tests on his kidneys and bladder […]
fried pies
Earlier today I was waiting to turn left on a busy highway. I know I’m a little conservative when it comes to driving, but hey, I’m still alive. In my rear-view mirror, I see the guy two cars behind me pull out of the lane, around and then in front of me so he can […]
sputnik; five months in orbit
Five months. Finally, it seems. Last month was a long winding road of an incredible sickness that we still have not reached the end of yet, so I am just thankful that we’re in NOVEMBER and at FIVE MONTHS. I finished the last post with an epilogue, which now seems moronic. Way to tempt the […]
OMGWTFBBQ
So . . . notice any new posts around here lately? For a long while, there hadn’t been, and I realized the times, they are a-changin’. Therefore, I’ve decided to spice things up by consolidating. In the twenty minutes this morning between Lydia arising from bed and us walking out the door, she had to have two separate timeouts in order to get her act together. There was the offense of Repeated Refusal to Wear Fresh Pull-Up and the offense of Repeated Refusal to Put On Socks and Shoes. Thankfully, […]
sputnik; four months in orbit
Samwise is scooting right along the calendar of time, turning four months old yesterday. Tomorrow I will get a doctor-certified length and weight on him when we go for his four month checkup. I’m guessing 16 pounds. My father has a bet in for 18. Sam’s schedule has stayed pretty steady this month — he […]
a most joyful day
My bouncy little niece turns two today! Yesterday we all traveled to Auburn to celebrate. Much cake was eaten and many pictures were taken. Eventually I will get them all up on Flickr but bear with me for I have Sam, Lydia, and a messy house to tend to. Happy Birthday, Bullet!!!
