And I am off!
The thoughts are crunchier here.

And I am off!

That blue truck hit that line of parked cars.
edited to add: And I saw it happen!

What the elevator shows you.

Holy crap I am high up!
I am amused by life when the song “Stand By Me” begins to play on the radio in the post office and half the people in the long lunch-hour line begin to hum to the tune. How awesome is life?

Happy birthday, Auburn.

I drank it anyway.
Right now I am partaking of a wine that smells and tastes like funeral flowers.
-Carrie!
Today we found out that Renton doesn’t like the trombone:

. . . but Hermione had no problem with it.
Cats are so fun.
So, here I am. In Auburn.
And Steven?
Uhh, he might be in Birmingham. Working. Working at a new job in Birmingham. Maybe.
I’m still in Auburn. For now.
Hey . . . guess who’s moving?

And so it has come to pass that Steven and I are living for the weekend once again, bringing back memories of two years’ past. This time is different though; not as hard. The drive from Auburn to Birmingham is much more pleasant than the three-hour snoozefest from Auburn to Fort Payne. This shouldn’t be as long of a separation, either. I’m just staying in Auburn long enough to get the house fixed up, put on the market, sold, and getting myself hired somewhere in the Magic City.
Naturally, ‘getting the house fixed up’ entails having the builders replace the hardwood floor, so one can only imagine how long that will take.
*grumble grumble* f*#k!&g roof leak *grumble grumble*
What? I didn’t say anything. I nice.
*ahem!* . . . Sooner rather than later, you shall find my abode in Birmingham, where there are more fancy stores — horray for Bed Bath and Beyond! — and much better local news and weather stations.
We’re also gearing up for House Hunt, Part Deux. I’ll keep ya informed.
